Former Springboks head coach and prominent South African figure, Peter de Villiers, has been suspended by his political party, GOOD, following allegations of sexual misconduct.

GROPING ALLEGATION SPARKS SUSPENSION

Media reports allege that de Villiers inappropriately touched a fellow party member last month. The individual filed complaints with both the party and the South African Police Service, leading to his immediate suspension.

GOOD PRIORITIZES DUE PROCESS

GOOD’s secretary-general, Brett Herron, emphasized the party’s firm stance against gender-based violence and misconduct. He clarified that de Villiers’ suspension doesn’t imply guilt, but underscores the seriousness of the accusations.
