The Sharks have seen two returning Springboks added straight into their long injury list.

Already suffering from a string of niggles, knocks and serious injuries the Sharks are having a nightmare campaign.

The Sharks revealed ahead of their clash with Zebre that Curwin Bosch (concussion), Eduan Keyter (knee), Francois Hougaard (knee), Kerron van Vuuren (knee), Le Roux Roets (knee), Muller du Plessis (knee), Nevaldo Fleurs (knee), Reniel Hugo (shoulder) and Vincent Tshituka (chest wall) were all still injured.

Meanwhile the Sharks have seen their Springboks return to the fold but at least two of them won’t be back in training and will miss more matches than the fourth and fifth rounds of action in the URC that the internationals have been alloted for rest.

World Cup winners Bongi Mbonambi (knee) and Vincent Koch (knee) have joined the squad carrying injuries and go straight into the franchises rehab programme.

As a result of the injury chaos the Sharks have named a young team to face Zebre this weekend.

Despite all the injuries, the Sharks still have four capped internationals in the backs although there isn’t as much experience in the forwards where Scotland international Dylan Richardson and veteran prop Coenie Oosthuizen are the only starting players to have played Test rugby.
