Canan Moodie will be absent when the Springboks open the defence of their Rugby World Cup crown on Sunday in Marseille.

Don’t fret, Springboks supporters. Canan Moodie will miss South Africa’s Rugby World Cup opener but his absence is just precautionary.

CANAN MOODIE AND JEAN KLEYN RULED OUT WITH NIGGLES

Jean Kleyn and Canan Moodie weren’t included in Jacques Nienaber’s matchday squad to tackle Scotland in Marseille on Sunday. Both of their absences have been put down to “niggles” and the pair should be fit to return soon. Here is the squad in case you missed it:
