Oprah Set to be a Teacher in South Africa!

The students at Oprah Winfrey’s Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa are going to be benefit from some private lessons from the media mogul herself! After receiving her Honorary Doctorate in Education at the University of the Free State, Oprah Winfrey is heading back to South Africa as a teacher!

In an email newsletter that Oprah sent out to her fans, she said that she will be returning later this year to teach a class called “It’s Life 101”. The course will be about all the things she wishes someone had taught her about how the world and life really work.

Oprah, who founded the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls and has weathered some scandals that plagued the school in the beginning, said: “Should be fun since I love to teach. And they’re like sponges. Like 12th graders everywhere, this first class is both anxious and excited about going to college. Most will be the first in their family. So it’s a very big deal for them, and they’re feeling the pressure.”

The billionaire businesswoman also said what fun she’d had with the Academy’s students during her recent trip to accept her Doctorate. She wrote “I love being with them and talking to them about all things important. When I’m there I’m talking from the time I get up till I go to bed, about EVERYTHING teenage girls are going through. It’s the same all over the world.”
