There’s been little (or lots, depending on how you look at it) that’s funny about President Jacob Zuma’s actions over the past week, as his decisions to sack one finance minister and then a second have sent South Africa’s economy and reputation reeling.

But one video in particular takes a Spanish-language look – and it’s a pretty darn hysterical one – at Zuma’s firing of finance minister Nhlanhla Nene last week, only to replace him with unknown backbencher David van Rooyen, who himself gets fired a few days later to be replaced by Pravin Gordhan.

The video can be viewed on YouTube if you click here.

The same video – which first appeared in a send-up of Apple – was used earlier this year to spoof issues in the ANC over Eskom and Nkandla.

The clip originally dates to 2007. Spanish comedian Juan Joya Borja, better known as El Risitas (“Giggles”), is interviewed by Jesus Quintero about his time as a young cook.

Earlier this year it was used with English subtitles for a sketch using the Apple Macbook to show the company’s apparent incompetence. It went viral, probably because of El Risitas’s infectious laughter, and has since been used with various other subtitles.

Here is the video about Apple that went viral earlier this year:
