EFF leader Julius Malema has called on South Africans to support democracy by taking to the streets of Pretoria on the day that Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan will appear in court on charges of fraud, 02 November 2016.

Malema’s call came Tuesday, following the National Prosecuting Authority’s (NPA’s) announcement that Gordhan and two former colleagues from the SA Revenue Services (SARS) have been issued with summons and are being charged with fraud.

Malema tweeted on his official account that South African President Jacob “Zuma is fighting back because of evidence presented by treasury to Public Protector on state capture. We support #Pravin and not criminals.

“02 November 2016, all those who love our country and its constitution must occupy the streets of Pretoria in support of our democracy.”

Back in August, Malema predicted that Gordhan was going to be arrested (because, he said, the Gupta Family did not want him)… watch below how the gathered journalists laughed at the time at the unlikelihood of it!
