South Africans have been going out in large numbers today to participate in the world famous ’67 minutes’ (of good deeds), as inspired by the late former democratic President Nelson Mandela.

Many people are carrying out the Mandela legacy by helping those in need – visiting hospitals, care centres and schools to hand out gifts and dedicate their 67 minutes to making a difference.

Mandela would have turned 100-years-old on Wednesday 18 July 2018.

His birthday is being celebrated around the world with people dedicating at least 67 minutes of their time for a good deed.
