KAIZER CHIEFS EXTEND TERMS WITH BILLIAT?

According to a source close to both the player and the club, via SoccerLaduma, Khama Billiat has agreed a one-year extension to his current contract exporting at the end of June. The board seems willing to take a risk on a man who’s been injured for most of the campaign and not really produced his best when fit. They do say form is temporary and class is permanent.

BILLIAT CURRENTLY STUCK ON 97

Khama’s 24 goals and 29 assists in 126 appearances mean he’s been directly contributing to 0.42 goals per game. Contrast that with his stats for Sundowns, where his direct output was 0.64 goals per game (47 goals and 43 assists in 140 appearances to date for Amakhosi). That’s a significant drop-off, and not all of it can be explained by Billiat being surrounded by better players at Masandawana. As it stands, he’s scored 97 goals as a top-flight player in the PSL era. Can he reach 100?

With Billiat’s short-term future now more or less resolved, what’s next on the agenda for the Amakhosi board after the swift signings of Thatayaone Ditlhokwe and Given Msimango?
