Wow! Legendary R&B singer Joe Thomas coming to SA

‘Gathering of R&B music lovers’: American legendary R&B singer Joe Thomas is reportedly coming to South Africa.

Legendary R&B star Joe Thomas will be coming to South Africa in April 2024 and will be visiting three different provinces in the country on his Mzansi tour, Sunday World reported.

HALALA! AMERICAN R&B SINGER JOE THOMAS IS COMING TO MZANSI

The American singer, songwriter, and record producer made hit-after-hit in the 90s and early 2000s. He is best known for his timeliness hit songs including I wanna Know, If I Was Your Man, Treat Her Like a LadyI Don’t Wanna Be a Player, and more. He is said to be returning to South Africa early next year and will reportedly be in Cape Town, Pretoria, and the North West.

The seven-time Grammy Award nominee will perform at the Sun City Superbowl on 27 April, Cape Town’s Grand Arena, GrandWest on 28 April, and at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria on 30 April. Vertex Events is reportedly expecting to bring a unique fusion of international and local R&B flavours.

Thato Segaole, the Vertex Events’ executive director was quoted as saying, “We are extremely proud to bring Joe back into the country…We are on a mission to make the shows a specially curated live moment. Production, live music, and a gathering of R&B music lovers will be the main focus.”

MORE ABOUT THE LEGENDARY R&B SINGER’S SA SHOW

The organisers of Joe’s South African trip are planning to accompany his performances with a few local acts which are said to be announced at the beginning of 2024, Swisher Post, reported Joe was born on 5 July 1973 in Columbus, Georgia. He released his first album named Everything in 1993 through Mercury Records — this comes after signing to the record label the previous year.  He released his twelfth album My Name Is Joe Thomas on 11 November 2016, WBSS Media reported. The album is said to have sold over 17 000 copies within the first week.
