An incredible photo of an elephant carrying a baby cub has gone viral on Twitter… with over 6,700 people retweeting it since it was posted this morning. And alarmingly, it appears that thousands of those actually thought the photo was real!!!!

Some suggested a movie should be made based on the scene, and others remarked on how amazing nature is. “Animals demonstrating the true meaning of ‘humanity’ to humans. What am interesting world!” wrote one. Another called it the animal kingdom’s version of Uber.

Of course it was none of the above. Just basic photoshopping skills on April Fool’s Day!

Kruger Sightings posted the pic, and tweeted: “We were following a lioness carrying her cub & she was getting really tired. An elephant showed up wanting to help the lioness. The elephant put its trunk down, the cub jumped up & the elephant carried the lion cub!! S28, 3km from S entrance. Tinged by Sloof Lirpa.” (The hint is in ‘Sloof Lirpa’…)
