Carl Pistorius, brother of athlete Oscar Pistorius, has shared a photo on Twitter of Oscar relaxing at home with the family after a day in court.
The murder trial for the athlete returned to the High Court in Pretoria this week, where a sentence in the killing of Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day 2013 is expected on Friday.
Carl captioned the photo: “Emotionally spent after a day in court, @OscarPistorius falls asleep with his godson, niece and nephew.”
Other tweets from Carl today included “Instead of having a break, can’t [prosecutor] Gerrie Nel have Kit Kat?” and “We each have a story 2 own. I’m eternally grateful 4 the grace that has been given 2 each of us 2 own our stories.”
Referring to the testimony of Reeva’s father Barry Steenkamp – who spoke of the ongoing pain of Reeva’s loss – Carl wrote: “My heart breaks for Barry”.
