Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema says party candidates who are going to Parliament must have academic qualifications. Malema says former Members of Parliament (MP’s) who have been selected to stand in the elections again will have to write a report on what they did during their time in the national legislature. Malema said candidates must hold a matric certificate and post-matric qualifications, including skills in various sectors such as energy, water and sanitation, technology, local economic development, health, justice and others. He also said the EFF’s list of candidates to Parliament must reflect the demographics of South Africa, where 40% of them must be the youth and 50% must be women.
