Bafana Bafana will host DR Congo in their second international friendly match on Tuesday evening at the Orlando Stadium.

Hugo Broos’ charges played to a disappointing 0-0 draw with Namibia on Saturday but the Belgian mentor is expected to make a number of changes against the 69th ranked Congo side.

The Leopards are expected to give Bafana a tough match compared to Namibia, reports Sowetan.

“It’s a new opponent in the Afcon [Africa Cup of Nations] qualifier and they are a better team than Namibia, with more quality,” Broos said.

BAFANA VS CONGO, WHAT TO EXPECT

“They also play differently than Namibia and I think it will be a nice game to watch than what we saw on Saturday, not only from our side, but I think two teams will play for a win.

Bafana are currently 62nd in the FIFA rankings and a win against DR Congo could see them rise slightly.

“The results are important, we change our mindset a little bit now. For this game against Congo, it is the results that are important.

“We have to see that we win that game. I would not want to end the camp with a draw and a defeat, not at all. Also for the players, there will be another mindset. It will not be the same team, that’s for sure. As I have said, we are following the plans, so everyone will have his chance,” said the Bafana coach.

Bafana take on DR Congo at the Orlando Stadium at 17:00. Broos is expected to make changes to the team that played Namibia this past weekend.

BROOS EXPECTED TO FIELD A STRONG TEAM

Ronwen Williams is expected to start in goal with Nyiko Mobbie slotting in at right back. The duo of Siyanda Xulu and Nkosinathi Sibisi could retain their place at the heart odf defence.

Lyle Foster is expected to lead up front but could be joined by Percy Tau and Zakhele Lepasa as Broos looks to add pace and energy to the team. Mihlali Mayambela could start in the middle alongside Mothobi Mvala and perhaps Aubrey Modiba, should the Bafana coach decides to start with Innocent Maela.
