Cape Town Spurs entered the PSL record books for the wrong reasons on Tuesday evening after suffering their latest defeat in the DStv Premiership.

The Mother City side when down 3-0 to Stellenbosch FC at the Cape Town Stadium.

With that defeat, Spurs became the first team in PSL top-flight history to lose 12 of their first 13 matches of a season.

Cape Town Spurs were promoted to the DStv Premiership ahead of the 2023/24 season.

They have yet to draw a match this season, with their only non-defeat being a victory over Soweto giants Orlando Pirates.

Cape Town Spurs have three points to date and are seven points behind the second-last team in the log.

They will next be in action away from home against defending league champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday, 13 December.
