Teboho Mokoena: Agent breaks silence on foreign interest

The agent of Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana midfielder Teboho Mokoena has broken his silence on the future of his client.

Mokoena has attracted huge interest from a number of European clubs following his brilliant displays at the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).

The Bethlehem-born midfielder was among the best players for Bafana Bafana at the tournament, and scored two goals.

Mokoena’s name was then all over the media with Premier League outfit AFC Bournemouth and French Ligue 1 side Monaco reported to be interested in him.

Now, his agent, Glyn Binkin has confirmed to iDiski Times that there’s indeed huge interest in the midfield anchor.

However, Binkin said whichever team is interested in Mokoena should first speak to Sundowns as his client is still contracted to them.

AGENT CONFIRMS INTEREST IN TEBOHO MOKOENA

“There has been lots of interest in Teboho, but he remains under contract to Sundowns until June 2026 and any club interested in Mokoena would have to engage with Sundowns in this regard,” said Binkin.

MOKOENA IS A BIG-MATCH PLAYER

Mokoena is undoubtedly a big-match player, and he’s proven himself time and again both at club and national team levels.

At this recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon), he scored a stunner of a free-kick against Morocco before converting from the spot against Nigeria in the semi-finals.
